An Open Letter To HOA Board Members

I founded Brown Community Management because I was once a Board member just like you. It was difficult to find a management company that would do what they said they were going to do. Brown Community Management was established in 1996 with a focus on customer service, professionalism, accessibility and getting the job done. I’m proud to say that I still have my very first client and I think it’s because I followed his simple advice: “Keep your promises, exceed your clients’ expectations, and you’ll always do well”. Today, we have grown into one of the most successful, well-respected, full-service HOA management companies in the Phoenix area.

The reasons for our success are no secret. They’re everywhere throughout our company. It’s all about exceeding expectations, providing excellent customer service, hiring the best employees and keeping it personal. Keeping it personal in a 21st century world isn’t easy for some companies. I understand the importance of technology, which is why we continually invest in the most progressive equipment, systems, and people. But I also believe it’s important to stay accessible…to keep it personal. Our systems are designed to make our community management product more efficient, but it’s our personal approach that keeps our company accessible.

When looking for proposals, each HOA Board will approach the top HOA management companies for management services. It’s safe to say that each company will provide you with a community manager, financial statements, common area inspections, professional vendors and annual budgets. What sets Brown apart, and why we are the best choice is our size. We’re small enough to provide an unparalleled level of personalized customer service. We’re hands-on, we’re personal and we’re your partner in every sense of the word. We’re big enough to provide all the service offerings of a larger company, however, unlike a larger company that has to report to investors or other executives in other states, and sometimes even other countries, I am the President and Founder of Brown Community Management and I report to you – no one else. I am actively and personally involved in my company and this industry. I have a personal reason for ensuring that Brown is successful at your community.

Brown Community Management has been managing community associations for 20 years; we enjoy an excellent reputation both within and without the HOA industry. Our business philosophy is universal within our company and can be summarized in one word: “Always”. Always hire the best – the best educated and the most experienced individuals – not just our employees but our professional service providers too. Always remember that service is the product. Always educate and train our employees and share best practices. Always do what we say we’re going to do. Always keep our promises. Always exceed our clients’ expectations.

I understand your experience as a board member – I’ve been there. You have my personal assurance that, with Brown Community Management as your partner, you’ll have everything the other companies are offering. But we’ll give you something they can’t. A more hands-on, personal experience when it comes to the management of your community.

Bob Brown
